# Onboarding call

## Talk for five minutes. Skip the forms.

Most career tools open with a wall of dropdowns and a CV upload, then guess who you are from your keywords. Rodeo does the opposite. It starts with a proper conversation.

Tell your agent what you're good at, what you actually care about, and what you want next. That's it. By the end of the call it understands you well enough to start finding real matches, not just anything with the right buzzwords.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick up">
    Hop on a quick call with your agent, or chat if you'd rather type. Under five minutes.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Talk it through">
    What you've done, what you're into, what you'd never do again, and any dealbreakers on pay, location or hours.
  </Step>

  <Step title="It gets to work">
    The moment you hang up, your agent starts searching, reading and matching. No waiting around.
  </Step>

## What it'll ask about

Nothing scary, and nothing you need to prepare for. Expect the sort of questions a genuinely helpful friend would ask:

* What you're doing now and how you got here
* The stuff you're good at, and the stuff you'd happily never touch again
* What "a good job" actually means to you — money, people, learning, flexibility
* Where you are and how far you'll travel or whether you want remote
* Anything on your mind about the search so far

## You don't need it all figured out

Plenty of people arrive with no clear plan, and that's completely fine. The call is just as useful for working out what you want as it is for acting on it. Come as you are.
