Worker locations become visible when the worker checks in on the Rodeo app and disappear when they check out. Locations will update every few seconds unless their:
  • network connection is lost, or
  • location permissions are disabled, or
  • phone is off.

Location tracking permissions

Worker must have their location permissions set to Always. When the worker checks in, they are prompted by the app to set their location tracking to Always. This allows their location to be transmitted when the app is in the background, i.e. not only when it’s open. Workers can set their location tracking permissions by opening their Rodeo app and following these steps:

Go to Profile

Open the menu, in the top right corner

Click Permissions

Click Settings

This will open the device settings where they will need to set Location to Always.

How it works

Go to Map

Click on Map in the menu on the left of the screen.

See your worker

The map is centred on the location of your site. You can see the locations of your workers.

Select a worker

See a list of worker on the right and click to find them on the map.
If a worker’s location does not update for five minutes, a red warning icon will show to alert you.
